The Albaicín brings together all the cultures that have passed through its squares, streets and houses. Among these narrow streets Muslims, Christians and Jews lived together. Not forgetting the artists and romantic writers who found so much inspiration in its beautiful corners.
Here we find Moorish houses, “cármenes” with their traditional gardens, mosques converted into churches and Muslim palaces mixed with craft workshops, traditional bars and magical viewpoints. All this contributed to the unique charm that characterizes the Albaicín.
Just bordering the Albaicin we find the caves of Sacromonte, one of Granada's traditions that coexist with the Granada of today, where you can feel the authentic essence of the city. In the caves culture is perceived between what is visible and what the mountain hides inside.
A whole hill that for generations has been excavated, which transports us to another time. A neighborhood where you can discover that there are alternative ways to live fully.
