In this activity, participants will have the opportunity to experience top rope sport climbing blindfolded, allowing them to develop skills such as self-confidence, trust in their team, concentration, and fear control. Additionally, they will be able to learn valuable techniques and tips from the totally blind world runner-up para-climber.
Objectives:
- Have a first rock climbing experience on single-pitch equipped routes with Francisco Javier Aguilar Amoedo, world para-climbing runner-up.
- Learn how to tie the figure-eight knot and use a Grigri for safe belaying.
- Learn how to belay a partner climbing on top-rope.
- Become familiar with sport climbing equipment.
- Learn the figure-eight tie-in knot for sport climbing.
Target audience:
People who want to have a blindfolded experience alongside Francisco Javier Aguilar Amoedo, world runner-up in difficulty climbing on rock or artificial walls.
Course Program:
Meeting and Transportation:
- Meet with Francisco Javier Aguilar Amoedo at the previously agreed climbing location.
- Drive to the climbing sector.
- Walk for about five to ten minutes to reach the activity site.
Introduction and Initial Talk:
Introduction and initial talk to learn about the participants' skills and previous experience in sport climbing.
Equipment Check:
- Inspection of personal climbing gear.
- Distribution of the necessary group equipment for the activity.
Route Explanation:
- Detailed explanation of the planned climbing route.
- Rules to follow throughout the day.
Start of Activity:
- Start of the activity, where Francisco Javier Aguilar Amoedo will guide participants through the top-rope climbing route without having seen it beforehand.
- While participants climb, Francisco Javier Aguilar Amoedo will share techniques and tips on how to tackle different sections of the wall.
Conclusion and Reflection Session:
- End of the activity and wrap-up, where Francisco Javier Aguilar Amoedo and the participants will share experiences and reflections on the day.
- Collect and organize all equipment to begin the walk back to the car, which will take about ten to fifteen minutes, and then head home.

- This is a beginner-level activity, no previous experience required. Normal physical condition and agility are necessary. The difficulty is adjusted to the student’s physical and technical ability.

Necessary Equipment:
- Technical clothing appropriate for the season and sport activity (fleece, windbreaker, waterproof and breathable jacket, gloves, etc.). A light windbreaker or fleece is useful, even in summer.
- Comfortable clothing that isn’t tight or bulky.
- A 40 to 45-liter backpack.
- Approach shoes or sneakers.
- 1L water bottle.
- Food (sandwich, bars, snacks, fruit, nuts).
- Sun protection (sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm, hat or cap).
- Headlamp and batteries.
- Thermal blanket.
- Camera or phone.
- A notebook might be useful.
- Trekking poles can be helpful for activities with a long approach.

100% of the amount paid will be refunded if the cancellation is made at least 24 hours before the start of the experience.
No refund will be given if the cancellation is made within 24 hours prior to the experience (unless a medical certificate is provided) or if the customer does not show up.
