Climb the "Diedro UBSA" Route on the Peñón de Ifach, Calpe. 250 meters of ascent (6a), featuring nine pitches and an intermediate rappel.
This classic and challenging route is perfect for intermediate climbers seeking adventure.
Objectives:
- Experience multi-pitch rock climbing on equipped routes.
- Learn to tie a figure-eight knot and belay with a MegaJul for a safe climb.
- Practice belaying a partner from an anchor station.
- Get familiar with multi-pitch climbing gear.
- Master basic climbing knots (figure-eight knot).
Target Audience: Individuals looking to start or improve their skills in rock climbing or artificial walls.
Activity Itinerary:
Start of the Route
- Depart from the harbor road and walk along the promenade to the wall.
- A 20-minute hike leads to the base of the route.
Access to the Route
- Reach R0 with a 3rd-grade scramble, noting some tricky dirt and loose rock sections.
- Alternatively, climb vertically from R0, following a crack that offers good protection.
Climbing Pitches
- L1: 5+
Begins with a traverse over polished rock.
Anchor station (R) in a small, comfortable, rappel-ready hole.
- L2: 5+
Easier section, well-protected.
After two bolts, follow the dihedral. Comfortable and rappel-ready R2.
- L3: 5+
Ascend a few meters, then traverse right.
Excellent final section, comfortable R3.
- L4: 5
Entry into the chimney dihedral.
Anchor station on a large block to the left. Comfortable and rappel-ready.
- L5: 6a (or 5 by variant)
Easy holds with some thin moves.
R is left of the cave, near rappel rings.

Descend to the dripping rock to the left, traversing to the anchor.
- L7: 5
Traverse toward the dihedral.
R after a bushy area to the right. Comfortable station.
- L8: 5+
Short section with a deceptively challenging move.
- L9: 3+
Easy scramble to the summit.
Final anchor secures your partner’s exit.
Descent and Return
- Collect gear at the summit.
- Walk back to the car via a mountain tunnel, approximately 25 minutes.

Cancellation Policy

A 99% refund of the amount paid will be granted if the cancellation is made at least 7 days prior to the start of the experience.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the experience (unless a medical certificate is provided) or in the case of no-shows.
