We propose to you a route to discover the essential and most iconic Madrid. The most historical city and the most current one at the same time.
We will begin our walk at the Prado Museum. We will continue to the Neptune Fountain, the Paseo del Prado and the Cibeles Fountain. We will also pass by the Ritz and Palace hotels. Our route will continue in Carrera de San Jerónimo where is located famous Congress of Deputies.
In the Barrio de las Letras we'll contemplate the House of Cervantes and explore corners full of history and anecdotes. The Plaza de Santa Ana is a perfect place to relive the Romantic Madrid of the 19th century.
The itinerary includes the emblematic Puerta del Sol where will discover the heart of the capital. We will walk through Madrid de los Austrias to the Plaza Mayor, where we could get to know the oldest enclaves of the city, as well as the narrow streets that keep centuries of history. Without forgetting the old Town Hall and the oldest churches, as well as the Plaza de la Villa.
We will put the finishing touch to our route ending at the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral.
