Casa da Guitarra, a space dedicated to Portuguese music and string instruments, presents an daily intimate concert where Fado is celebrated as a cultural expression of the country. This is a manifestation of the soul of an entire people.
On stage, Portuguese culture is revealed through a traditional fado show. On the Portuguese guitar, a "luthier", our guitar builder, on the fado viola, a teacher from our music school. We also have a range of renowned fadistas with pure soul in their voices.
In this concert you will get to know fado through the traditional repertoire, in what is the meeting of some of the most special values of Portuguese culture - Fado, Portuguese Guitar and Port Wine. Don't miss this opportunity to hear this musical style, elevated to Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
