Come with us to discover Girona and its great historical heritage in Old town's streets and buildings.

Girona conserves its ancient and mediaeval history. It is a beautiful city with interesting sites such as the Jewish quarter, the Cathedral and the Roman wall.

We will visit the mediaeval village of Pals. Afterwards we'll go to the coast to see the amazing sea-views, the cliffs, and the coves of Costa Brava.

We'll stop in Calella de Palafrugell, a fantastic and lovely place where you'll walk around the cliffs. You can swim and take a sunbath on the beach. You can also visit the botanical gardens on the top of the cliff of Cap Roig.

Girona was founded around 76 BC by the Romans.

It has been dominated by many different people; as a result, it has a great richness of architectural heritage. The Cathedral was founded in 1038 on the site of a Mosque; the spectacular Roman walls, along which you can walk, are just two examples of this.

There is a wide variety of museums and sites of historical interest in Girona, such as the Jewish Quarter and the Arab Bath house.

From Girona, the tour heads for the charming Pals, a small mediaeval village that grew out of what was once a fortress.

From Pals, we will visit the lovely coastal fishing village of Calella de Palafrugell, where you can find a lot of traditional restaurants. You can also explore the rocky coastline, take a dip in the inviting waters, or follow the coastline round to the beautiful cliff-top botanic gardens at Cap Roig.

From Calella de Palafrugell we will return to Barcelona, arriving at 7:30 pm.

Schedule: Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 8.30 am.

Meeting Point: Palau de la Musica 1, just off Via Laietana. The nearest metro is Urquinaona (L1 & L4).
The guide will be carrying a red umbrella. Please, arrive at the departure point 10 minutes earlier. Routes depart prompt at the scheduled time.
