Discover the art, culture and history of the city in a different way; With this specialized route in some of the best museums in the city that you can meet with the help of an expert local guide.
The first museum that we will visit will be the Almería Heritage Interpretation Center, where we can discover the most important historical phases that the city, the Muslim Almeria, on the first floor, the Christian Almeria, on the second floor and the Contemporary Almeria have lived (the current one) on the last floor. From its roof we can see a great panoramic view of the most important fortress in the city, the Alcazaba.
Then we will visit the Museum of the Spanish guitar "Antonio Torres" to learn about the history of this instrument, one of the best known and most popular in the world. In this museum you will discover the keys of this instrument in a pleasant and simple way, as well as its history and its great influence on art. You can admire a beautiful exhibition on the guitars that have been played by artists as well known worldwide as Andrés Segovia, Paco de Lucía, Tomatito, etc.
Our next stop will be at the Doña Pakyta Museum of Art, the residence of the Almeria businesswoman Doña Pakyta. Favorite Daughter of Andalusia in 2010 and recognized for her commitment to the city and the environment that left her own home as a legacy for the city, an example of the Spanish regionalist architecture of the 20s.
