Our progression and self-rescue course on the Moclín via ferrata offers intensive training in a challenging natural environment. Objectives:
- Acquire basic theoretical knowledge for climbing via ferratas (equipment, topo, how to approach the route...).
- Learn the use and handling of specific and necessary equipment.
- Understand belaying and progression techniques on via ferratas.
- Develop the learned skills in a real practice environment.
- Learn basic self-rescue techniques.
- Belay a partner at a specific point on the via ferrata.
- Set up assisted braking on a zipline.
- Rescue a partner who is hanging from a bridge on the via ferrata.
- Lower a partner to the ground.
- Learn how to rappel with doubled ropes.
Target audience: People interested in learning self-rescue techniques on multi-pitch routes, rock climbing, or artificial walls.
Course Program:
On the first day, we will meet at Rock and Bloc to start with an hour of theoretical instruction on action protocols.
We will then move on to anchor setup, belaying the second, descent on fixed rope, ascent on fixed rope, load transfer while rappelling, locking and unlocking the brake, and assisting the second climber. We will take a one-hour lunch break and then continue with emergency rappelling and rappelling in windy conditions.
The second day will also take place at Rock and Bloc. We will start with a brief review of the previous day's content, followed by rappelling while bypassing a knot, rappelling with an injured person, and load transfers. After a lunch break, we will continue with rescuing the second climber while rappelling and conclude with the rescue of the lead climber.

Requirements:
- Must be of legal age.
- This is a medium technical difficulty and medium physical demand activity.
- Beginner level, no prior experience required. Normal physical condition and agility are necessary. The difficulty level is adapted to the student's physical and technical abilities.
- Willingness to enjoy learning.
Necessary equipment:
- Technical clothing appropriate for the season and sport activity (fleece, windbreaker, waterproof and breathable jacket, gloves, etc.). A windbreaker or light fleece is always useful, even in summer.
- Comfortable clothing that is not too tight or bulky.
- Backpack of approximately 15 to 30 liters.
- Approach shoes or sports shoes.
- 1L water bottle.
- Food (sandwich, energy bars, snacks, fruit, nuts).
- Sun protection (sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm, hat or cap).
- Thermal blanket.
- Headlamp and batteries.
- Camera or phone.
- A notebook could be useful.

99% of the amount paid will be refunded if the cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the start of the course.
No refund will be given if the cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the start of the course or if the customer does not show up.
