Self-rescue on multi-pitch routes involves techniques and maneuvers to manage emergencies while climbing long routes. It focuses on the use of ropes and equipment to rescue oneself or a partner in unforeseen situations, ensuring safety and competence in the mountains.

- Learn to set up a "N" pulley system (3:1).
- Distinguish between incident, accident, urgency, and emergency.
- Progress on fixed ropes.
- Descend on fixed ropes.

Target audience: For individuals who want to learn self-rescue techniques on multi-pitch rock climbs or artificial walls.
Course Program:
On the first day, we will meet at Rock and Bloc to start with a one-hour theoretical session on action protocols.
We will then move on to setting up belays, belaying the second climber, descending on fixed ropes, ascending on fixed ropes, load transfer on rappel, locking and unlocking the belay device, and ascending to the second climber. We will take a one-hour lunch break and continue with emergency rappel and rappelling in windy conditions.
The second day will also take place at Rock and Bloc. We will start with a brief review of the previous day's content and continue with rappelling over a knot, injured climber rappel, load transfer. After a lunch break, we will proceed with rescuing a second climber on rappel and finish the course with a lead climber rescue.

Requirements:
- Must be over 18 years old.
- This is a technically and physically moderate activity.
- Intermediate level, requires demonstrable previous experience or completion of a multi-pitch sport climbing initiation course. Normal physical fitness and agility are required. The difficulty will be adjusted to the physical and technical capacity of the student.
- Desire to enjoy learning.
Required equipment:
- Appropriate technical clothing for the season and sport (fleece, windbreaker, waterproof and breathable jacket, gloves, etc.). A windbreaker or light fleece is always useful, even in summer.
- Comfortable clothing that is neither tight nor bulky.
- Backpack between 40 and 45 liters.
- Approach shoes or sports sneakers.
- 1L water bottle.
- Food (sandwich, bars, snacks, fruit, nuts).
- Sun protection (sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm, hat or cap).
- Headlamp and batteries.
- Thermal blanket.
- Camera or phone.
- A notebook may be useful.
- Hiking poles may be helpful for activities requiring a long approach.

- 1 double rope of 60m.

- 2 60cm slings.
- 1 120cm HMPE sewn sling.
- 1 5m cord (7mm minimum if nylon, 5.5mm if Kevlar or Aramid).

99% of the amount paid will be refunded if the cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the start of the course.
No refund will be given if the cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the start of the course, or if the customer does not show up.
