The Castillo de Locubín via ferrata offers an exciting beginner-level adventure with a 1-kilometer route and a height of 157 meters, perfect for those seeking accessible challenges (K2). With stunning views of the valley and features like two 10-meter monkey bridges and a 30-meter Tibetan bridge, this experience combines nature and local culture in a peri-urban park setting with river pools, ensuring a memorable day full of adventure and relaxation.
Objectives:
- Experience climbing a via ferrata.
- Safely progress along the via ferrata.
Target audience: People looking to start out with via ferratas.
Activity program:
Approach (5 minutes): We will meet at the parking area of the Castillo de Locubín Ferrata and walk for 5 minutes to the starting point of the ferrata.
Ferrata Activity (2 hours 35 minutes):
- Brief explanation of the equipment, with some interactive exercises.
- Start the ferrata, ascending via the rungs, gaining height and mastering the use of carabiners as we ascend 60 meters in one go. We will reach a 30-meter Tibetan bridge. After crossing, we will continue ascending along a line of iron rungs until we reach another set leading us to a 10-meter monkey bridge. We then continue along a stretch that takes us across another 15-meter monkey bridge. The final ascent leads us to the summit. Now we are ready to start the descent trail.
Return (20 minutes): We will descend via the trail back to the car, which will take approximately 20 minutes.

Requirements:
- Must be of legal age.
- Beginner activity, no prior experience required. Normal physical fitness and agility are needed to progress along a K3 via ferrata over a three-hour period.
- Previous experience: Not required.
- Prior training: Not required.
- Difficulty: Beginner K2.
Necessary equipment:
- Comfortable clothing suitable for sports and the season.
- A backpack of approximately 30 liters.
- Water bottle (1L).
- Food.
- Sunscreen.
Start time: According to availability (see booking calendar).
Languages: Spanish and English.

Certifications
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation or modification requests must be made via a message from the booking page on MiReservaOnline.es so that a written record of the date and time of the request can be made.
100% of the amount paid will be refunded if the cancellation is made at least 24 hours before the start of the experience.
No refund will be given if the cancellation is made within 24 hours prior to the experience (except for medical justification), or if the client does not show up.
