The Royal Palace of Madrid is one of the main monuments of the city. It is considered one of the most beautiful palaces and the largest in Europe. It was built in the eighteenth century by order of King Philip V, on the site of the old Alcazar of Madrid (destroyed by fire in 1734). The palace was once the residence of the Spanish Royal House. It has more than 2,500 rooms, but only a small part of them are opened to the public. Among other artworks and great values pieces, Stradivarius violins with more than three centuries of history are preserved in the palace. Also, a precious collection of tapestries embroidered in the Royal Tapestry Factory of Santa Barbara. Today, the Royal Palace is used for State ceremonies.

In one of them, diplomatic meetings are held between Philip VI and international leaders who came to visit. Afterwards, we will enter the most private rooms of the King and Queen, next to the Grand Dining Room that hosted up to 144 guests. We will enter the Porcelain Room and the incredible Royal Chapel, frescoed by Corrado Giaquinto. In the Throne Room we will see the spectacular fresco by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. Not forgetting the Royal Armory, whose collection of arms and armor dates back to the thirteenth century.
